Like so many parents, I struggled with my first baby not sleeping well in his crib. What I did know was that he slept well when cozy and secure, such as when held or nestled in his car seat or stroller. So, by using my instincts as a mother and experience as a pediatric physical therapist, I created the Magic Sleepsuit to simulate this calming and comforting environment in the crib. The Magic Sleepsuit was a huge success with all my children and my friends' children as well!  Knowing how important good sleep is to babies and their parents, I wanted to share this product with others. So, my husband, Bob, and I started our journey to build a family business and share the Magic Sleepsuit with others. Each of our four children played a role in the development of our product and business, and it was when pregnant with our fourth child that we launched sales of the Magic Sleepsuit in 2008. The most gratifying aspect of our business continues to be hearing the difference the Magic Sleepsuit has made in the lives of our customers. As the years have passed and our loyal Baby Merlin community has grown, the question that we were often asked was "what's next?". The answer is now here - Baby Merlin's Magic Dream Sack!  Baby Merlin's Magic Dream Sack is made from the same material as the Magic Sleepsuit so that babies can continue to sleep in a familiar environment and maintain their association with sleep. We are excited to be able to offer our Baby Merlin Family a range of products to help babies (and parents) sleep better and longer, and to continue our mission of promoting safe sleep for babies. About the Founder & Company 

Maureen is a wife, mother of four, pediatric physical therapist and founder of the Baby Merlin Company. Maureen’s educational background includes a B.A. in Biology from the University of Delaware and a Master of Physical Therapy degree from Temple University. Her career as a pediatric physical therapist included work at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), Children’s Seashore House, and independent contract services in early intervention and school based settings. Prior to 2021, Maureen served as President of Baby Merlin Company.

In 2021, Maureen decided that the Baby Merlin Company was ready to transition to the next stage of its growth. She and her husband Bob sold the company to Perch, a Boston-based technology-driven commerce company that acquires and operates great brands at scale. Perch brought the Baby Merlin team along with them and remains committed to its mission to provide a safe and secure sleep environment for babies.

Perch is also committed to taking great care to provide the best materials and best quality products possible. The Magic Sleepsuit and Baby Merlin's Magic Dream Sack have been put through comprehensive safety testing by Bureau Veritas Group, an international testing agency. The final product was also hand inspected for compliance with the Company’s quality and safety standards by KRT Audit Corporation, an international factory audit company.
